Shenandoah Valley Sledding |
||||||||
Welcome to Shenandoah Valley! This is one of two side accounts where I primarily focus on Greenland dogs. My current objective and breeding focus is to start up a foundation line of competitive greenland dogs that excel in sledding, have 4x str boosts and are 24HH. I try to steer away from inbreeding for the added challenge but if you choose to inbreed, that's ok! Everyone plays the game in their own way. At this time I will not be worried about shows, stats or levels until my lines are where I want them to be. If you have any questions about my dogs, feel free to ask! Min. breeding level: 30 Pricing Method: [Level] x 500 + [HH x 1000] / 2 if female has been bred Stud Pricing Method: [Level] x 1000 x 2 per BoB |

Litters. All female greenland dogs will be bred once in their lifetime when they reach 101 days old. As I work on improving the quality of my lines, none of my greenland dogs litters will be made available to the public - no exceptions. Litters parented by my breed boost dogs, however, are a different story. These dogs will be bred twice, once at 89 and again at 101 days old. I will always reserve the first litter for myself and offer the second litter to the public using my pricing methods above. If you are interested in a different pairing than what I've decided on below, message me and we can work something out. Studs. Males will be put to stud once they reach 80 days old and will be removed from service once they have either reached 100 days or have been bred to 3 times. With my greenland dogs I will be more guarded and selective on what females I allow them to breed to. I will not accept any requests for females that are not within or above five levels of the desired stud. Under no circumstances will my females be available for public breeding's. SVS Studbook

A note about notes: When you purchase a dog from me, chances are there will be a bunch of random numbers in their notes and description. What these mean are focused : unfocused | stat boosts, HH/Hh/hh | Quality% totals. |

The Greenland Dog
Since the Inuit people of Canada’s Arctic were known to have emigrated from Greenland many centuries ago bringing their sled dogs with them, it’s possible this hardy polar Spitz breed is the forerunner of our native Canadian Eskimo Dog. The relationship to other northern Spitz breeds – such as the Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky and Canadian Eskimo – is unmistakable. Used primarily as sled dogs in the Scandinavian countries, Greenland Dogs were also put to work by the native people as hunting dog whose superior sense of smell was used to track down seal breathing holes. Acceptable colors: Any.
