Duke's 2nd Chance Rescue and Breeding Center est.2013

About Me

Hello and welcome to Duke's Second Chance Rescue! Here we take in dogs that are in the sales completely neglected and in much need of care as well as rescue abandoned dogs from the pound. I am always ready to take in any dogs someone may just want to get rid of well, so transferring a dog is always welcome, no questions asked and no need to ask me if you can! I will always accept. Read the columns below for adoption and breeding request requirements. Inamed the rescue shelter after my dog, Duke. He was a beagle dalmatian mix and a rescue dog himself. Sadly he passed away on May 31, 2017 at the age of 5 due to cancer, so in his honor I’ve made him the mascot of my shelter. Currently now I have 4 rescue babies, 3 cats (Snowball, Blaze, June) and a bird (Gus)! Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Mission

Here at the rescue we also try to help improve the breeds we get in, which is a great variety. All rescue dogs up for adoption have at least one excellent rating and zero fairs or poors. The goal of this is to help other players improve their lines as well as the overall improvement of the breeds. We also want all players to be able to adopt, so every rescue adoption is only $1,000. That is to cover their bowls, food, chew, bed, and the grooming tools and toys needed to get them back to 100% stats and ready for adoption. Twice a year (usually around Thanksgiving and start of summer) I will cut adoption prices to $0 as sort of an adoption fair! I also have specific breeds I have chosen to specialize in the breeding of high quality 24HH lala genetics of. The complete list is to the left of this column, I have tried to choose breeds that are not usually chosen and are not over populated. If you choose to check my available dogs, there are also almost always litters available of these specialized breeds. I always list every pup so that players can choose their pups if there is something specific they are looking for. Occasionally I will also have few random breeds with litters as I have some non-specialized breeds I work with. I am also always willing to negotiate if there are several dogs/puppies you are interested in! Just send me a message and we can work something out, even if it is just one dog or puppy you have your eye on. I am also willing to negotiate if you are interested in adopting one of my personal breeding center dogs. I have many pups up for adoption from those line but if you are looking at one not up for adoption, just send me a message and we can see if we can work something out.

Adoption Requirements

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please place a bid on it. If you would like to negotiate an adoption price, just send me a message! In order for me to accept an adoption request I will do a kennel check. Your dogs must be well cared for and not over bred (more than 3). If you are placing bids on many dogs, I may send you a message before accepting to ask your plans for the dogs just making sure they will not be used for over breeding or instantly resold. If I decline a request, you are more than welcome to send me a message if you are unsure why.

Breeding Requirements

In order for me to accept a breeding request with one of my male dogs, your female has to be over the age of 35 days (if barely over 35 days, with no previous breedings), only previously bred 1 - 2 times, and well cared for. If I accept your request and my male is locked, please send me a message with the male's link and I will be happy to unlock him! I do not automatically unlock my males when I accept, because if they are locked, it is because they are over 101 days old or older and retired from competing and training.
