Hi! Welcome!
In my pixeldog breedings, my priorities are, in order:
(1) performance - With the addition of aptitude genetics I am actively monitoring my dogs for outstanding aptitudes (beyond just what's listed) and trying to produce dogs with breed and stat appropriate aptitudes.
(2) max health genetics - Inasfar as this goes hand in hand with competition performance, especially in very saturated breeds like Aussies with a million 4E dogs.
(3) interesting and cool colors - Not THAT important to me but all other things being roughly equal I would rather breed some cool-looking pixeldogs. But a common-colored dog that is a great performer with great health genetics would be far preferred for me over rare color but mediocre performance/health genetics.
Since I am still trying to establish lines, I tend to breed females 2-3 times each but judiciously. This number is going down as my lines become more solidified.
I know inbreeding doesn't matter much in FP, but I have a graduate degree in genetics so it's still something I try to keep to a minimum. With that in mind, I tend to look outside of my lines very often for outcrosses, particularly for health genetics.
Along the same vein, you may have noticed that I tend to offer up a lot of my males, even high leveled ones, for breeding for a pretty low price. This is because I want these types of dogs to be accessible to newer or less established players for helping out their lines as well, if they so choose.
