S.P.Q.R. Kennels
ALL of my dogs are currently locked, and breeding projects on hold
Breeding Terms
If my male is not one of the highest level studs available for that breed, there is no breeding fee. For these males, there is no requirement for females to meet a certain level or health threshold.
Males that are one of the top studs of their breed will be priced according to demand and market value. These males may have requirements for females to meet.
You are free to do whatever you please with any pups produced from my dogs.
Sales
Occassionally I may sell dogs that no longer fit into my breeding program, or offer puppies that I don't wish to keep. I prefer homes that will show the dogs to their best potential, with correct equipment, food, training, etc. However, ultimately once they are yours you are free to do whatever you like with them.
If you think any of my prices are unreasonable, feel free to DM me. My dogs are priced according to market value and demand, however there is usually some flexibility with the price. This also applies to stud fees.
Breeds this kennel is working on
Belgian Tervuren - intint intint with a Schutzhund focus
Flat Coated Retriever - stats and sport to focus on will be determined by outcome of next generation. Leaning towards agiagi agiagi and Dock Doving. Also producing a few dogs with FT and stm focus.
Spaniels (Field and English cocker) - stats and sport to focus on will be determined by outcome of next generation. Leaning towards FT and HT with a stamina focus, also producing a few with SH and int focus.
Central Asian Shepherd - aiming for lala 24HH, other stuff will come after this is achieved. Trying to breed away from any stat lines that are not a stat that is part of the major breed group. Charisma is lingering in my lines, and I would like to breed that out.
Doberman - I am producing a small line of dobermans with a focus on intelligence and Schutzhund. The line should also be capable of producing a wide range of doberman colours.
Others - I also have small numbers of other breeds, usually for achievements. I may decide to produce a litter from some of these breeds if my dogs are of high enough quality. However, I don't currently have a focus in mind for these dogs, except levelling them to their best potential.
Possibly looking for a breeding partner for developing aptitude for schutzhund in a Belgian Tervuren line.
Other
My prefix is SPQRo.
I returned earlier this year from a fairly long hiatus. I used to breed Field Spaniels on this account, if you find a Field Spaniel with my prefix (born 2018 or earlier), I am probably interesting in purchasing it. Back then I achieved Best of Breed with 2 of my Field Spaniels. Nowadays, I am not so focused on the breed, but happy to see that it has increased significantly in quality since I left.
I currently level my dogs according to Happy Paws' guide, with a few deviations. I properly level every dog that comes into my care, the only exception currently being my Central Asian Shepherd line, that I am working on from scratch (with the aid of some outside studs). Aside from these Central Asian Shepherds, you will never see me breed a dog before the age of at least 50 (but usually much later than that).
I also do not make a habit of putting my prefix on dogs that I did not personally breed (apart from Gen 1s). If you sell me a dog without an prefix, it will most likely remain that way, as I feel like it is putting my name on someone else's work. However, I do not expect you to do the same with dogs I have bred; if I am offering a dog/puppy for sale without an prefix, you are absolutely free to put your own prefix on that dog. For me, it's a personal preference.
