In the 10th century humans harnessed the power of dogs for hunting and sled travel. Eventually dog sledding began to change from a means of transport to a means of competition. The most famous of these competitions today is the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Here at Red Eclipse Kennel we breed the dogs that will win these races. Each of our Kennels contains a different breed of Sled Dog. Currently we are breeding Siberian, Alaskan Huskies and Alaskan Malamute. We are working toward breeding Canadian Eskimo Dogs, Chinooks, Greenland Dogs and Samoyeds.
