Boxcar Kennel
Welcome To Boxcar Kennels! We take great quality in breeding for health, beauty, and the ability to work! We almost always have litters but if you cannot find anything there, please check out our For Sale Kennel. We are always looking for homes for great quality females. We do not offer males for sale at the time unless by private arrangement. We take extreme pride in a long line of top-notch Collie Stud dogs produced here at Boxcar. We blended the Kennels of Heartbreaker, Voodoo Bayou and Calidade several years ago to create a standout line of Collies. We are proud to have bred some of the top producer's in the Breed. If you see a collie marked (ROM) beside their name, they have produced more than 20 player owned dogs. You will find our journal entries at the end of this page where we keep track of where we are going with our program. Here is a tribute to our great ROM Collie Sires:

(9/7/2021) As promised, we have finally found and acquired the next step in our collie journey. Today I purchased Lakecrest's Black Isles! She is a beautiful tri girl that will be bred to our incredible Voodoo Bayou in 8 days. This will be a great start to rebuilding our line. "Sasha" will make an instrumental contribution here! I am so grateful for the many amazing females we have had over the years, we literally could not have done it without them. However, I took the time tonight to scroll through the pictures of my retired dogs and really embrace the devotion I have made to stud dogs in particular. The first stud dog that I had to make a difference was my beloved Prancer. While he only produced 10 player owned dogs, those 10 COUNTED. He produced dogs that made an impact on several other kennels. At the time, he was a big winner too. We had other dogs that made large contributions like Calidade's Catch Me if You Can (20 player owned dogs), Detroit's Wild Boy (22 player owned dogs, and Calidade's Rhapsody In Blue (25 POD). They gave us great dogs and a lot of people bread to them. Two of my favorite Stud dogs here were Voodoo Bayou's Pale King (29 POD) and Calidade's Sublime Image (26 POD). King and Sub were really, really significant contributors to the breed. They produced a lot of dogs that would go on to be producers themselves, really standing out in the pedigrees. As I looked through tonight, even after all of these years, there are still a handful of Sub KIDS out there! Wow! I have seen many grandkids and great grands but amazing to see his children still thriving five or so years later. The 2nd biggest stud dog here is Calidade's Voodoo Bayou. This dog has been so amazing for me and is still producing. He is currently the sire of 34 player owned dogs and I have another litter planned for him soon. Bayou was my homage to my first mentor, where my collies originally came from, the Voodoo Bayou Kennel. I cannot wait to see how Bayou's really long career ends. He has saved my kennel MANY times as I keep him locked. I have used him a few times now to jumpstart my breeding program again. Lastly is the absolute King of Collie Stud Dogs. My greatest contribution to breed was Smirnoff. Smirnoff was the most beautiful blue boy and everyone loved him. He was such a consistent producer. People from all over FP bred to him. He sired a SHOCKING 57 player owned dogs!!!! His progeny went on to be incredible producers, big winners in all sports, and key parts of other kennel's breeding programs. Smirnoff absolutely marked my kennel in collie history on FP and I will always be grateful for that. I did a lot of really great linebreedings focused around him which led to some really amazing dogs. In fact, he sired several of my big producing stud dogs. I have never found another collie that has sired 57 POD. To my knowledge, he holds the record! I am working on breeding another Stud Dog but for now I desperately needs girls for breeding. We will see what becomes of this new litter! A tri male surely would be nice....
(11/18/2021) It is a bittersweet day today as we retire Boxcar's Welcome Home. Wilma was born here in May of last year and sold to another breeder home. When I returned this year from a short absence, I tracked her down to find she was locked in another breeding program. I was so excited. I contacted her owner, purchased her back, and she became absolutely instrumental here. She is arguably the most prolific dam we have ever had here. She is retiring at Level 57 and more importantly she is the dam of 10 player owned dogs. These are 10 high quality dogs but most significant to me is that she has produced some really great producers for me. She is the dam of 3 of our top sires Boxcar's Homecoming King, Boxcar's Legacy, and Boxcar's Pale Prince. These are three influential sires to our breeding program and she is to thank for all of them! Enjoy your retirement beautiful girl!
(11/24/2021) Today is a tough day. I have been dreading it for quite some time. Today is the retirement of Calidade's Voodoo Bayou. Bayou is one of my very favorite dogs. He always has been. Bayou was born on September 11th, 2016. His parents were two of my best collies, Voodoo Bayou's Calidade Pale King and Voodoo Bayou's Simply Delightful. This was one of the breeding's I did that ultimately fused my pedigrees with the pedigrees that I wanted from Voodoo Bayou, a kennel that I had long admired and respected. Bayou was an incredible producer and absolutely instrumental for my breeding program. Because of my fear of losing him, he was locked MANY times to prolong his producing life. He never got to level up very high or do many competitions. I held him back from that so that I could have him longer and use him more as a stud dog. Those that know me know that I very rarely even have sable stud dogs, but Bayou turned out to be my greatest stud dog of all time. Bayou is retiring having sired 50 litters and a total of 80 Player Owned Dogs! 80!!!!!! This is a record for Boxcar Kennels. I have had many influential stud dogs but there is no doubt that Bayou takes the trophy as the prominent sire of my kennel. He has sired a lot of producers for me but I want to specifically point out that he sired Boxcar's Blue Bayou who is currently at stud in my kennel and has been a really great producer for me so far. Bayou also sired Boxcar's Homecoming King who in my opinion, is going to be my next great one! Then, of course, there is his prolific daughter.... Boxcar's Welcome Home. Bayou gave me so much and leaves behind a truly incredible legacy in many kennels throughout FP. I am so sad to see him retire but after 5 years, it is time. His son, Boxcar's Homecoming King, is ready to take over for him. To all that bred to him and to all that love your puppies by him...thank you from the bottom of my heart.
(3/29/2022) We are super excited about the acquisition of Poppy Meadow's Sebastian, a beautiful blue rough boy. He was bred by Heartbreaker- where it all began for us. I am thrilled to have a Heartbreaker dog back in my pedigrees to tie everything together. Sebastian was actually the sire of one of our foundation females back in 2016 named Calidade's Dancing Around the Devil (Danca) which we purchased from Heartbreaker. She was bred to Smirnoff, which produced Calidade's Devishly Drunk. Danca was also bred to Calidade's Sublime Prince of Voodoo (a Sublime Image Son) which produced Calidade's Just A Little Prejudice. Sebastian was bred to Harmony today for our first litter with him. I hope to get several more litters out of him in April. He is close to retirement age but he has already made a great contribution to us in one single litter. We will be retaining a son and daughter of his from the breeding to Harmony (Boxcar's Last Ballad). The daughter is to be named Boxcar's Crimson Princess after her grandmother, Boxcar's Crimson Queen. The son is a really striking blue rough. I will be naming him Boxcar's The Heartbreaker...a nod to his rich Heartbreaker Collies heritage on both sides of the pedigree. I have high hopes that "Breaker" will lead our kennel into a very refreshing new generation.
4/1/2022- Wow! Very excited to announce our reacquisition of Boxcar's Hello Again. She is a Sasha (Lackecrest's Black Isles) daughter sired by our Boxcar's Smoke Signal. These were two of my favorite dogs! This was a tri to tri breeding, very rare for us. I cannot wait to incorporate this girl into our program!
4/2/2022- Thanks to the magic of the Pink Rose I was able to breed Boxcar's Hello Again to our beloved, retired, Boxcar's Homecoming King. This was incredible for so many reasons. It gave Roi his 60th player owned dogs, it gave us TWO beautiful stud dogs for which we can carry on our breeding program with, but most importantly it tied together the pedigrees that we thought were lost. Homecoming King, Roi, was on track to be my top stud dog ever but unfortunately the chance was taken away from him by my unexpected absence from the game. Now his two sons: Boxcar's Smoking Gun & Boxcar's Heritage will carry on his legacy and finish what he started. It is my hope that the two of them will go on to do incredible things for my kennel. Let the fun begin! Oh, and THANK YOU to FP for creating the Pink Rose so that in times like these, we breeders can go back and snag a piece of our history.
4/8/2022- We are finally almost done rebuilding our stud force in Collies. They are all young dogs but I know demand will be high so I have went ahead and placed the ones that are old enough as available for stud. I am most excited about our two sons by Boxcar's Homecoming King out of Boxcar's Hello Again. This was a breeding done by Pink Rose and produce two great stud dogs for us. We have Boxcar's Heritage (Blue Merle) and Boxcar's Smoking Gun (Tri). They will be ready for breedings in just a few days. I am also really excited to offer Boxcar's The Heartbreaker (Blue merle) at Stud. He is out of Last Ballad and Sired by Heartbreaker's Sebastion. This breeding tied together the very old Heartbreaker pedigrees that we started with to our previous generation of dogs. It is a pretty exciting pedigree. We have two sons of Power of Lightning coming up. Power of Lightning is kind of outcross for us but he is a really quality dog and goes back to our dog Smoke Signal so he fit in very well. One of the sons is a sable-headed white out of Boxcar's Coquitlam named Boxcar's Cloudy Days and the other is a sable crème dog out of Boxcar's Tofino named Boxcar's Crème de la Crème. We have two other Heartbreaker's Sebastion sons coming up as well. One is Boxcar's The Architect, a tri-headed white, out of Boxcar's Tell Me The Truth and the other is Boxcar's All Jacked Up, a sable, out of Boxcar's You Can't Escape It. Finally we have a blue-headed white named Boxcar's Don Giovanni who is big outcross for us. The sire is a really nice dog named Laggan Fleet bred to our girl Aria, Boxcar's Something In The air. We will be looking to breed a crème-headed white, a red, and a red-headed white to complete our collie stud force. For now these are the dogs we will be able to offer and we are SUPER excited about it. I will be pushing the Homecoming King Sons as that pedigree is a real triumph for me and extremely sentimental. However, all of these dogs will contribute greatly to my pedigree and hopefully some of them can contribute to your pedigrees as well. We do at this time have two stud dogs available for sale that were purchased from other kennels. They helped us get our program on track but now we need to move forward with out own dogs. Please take advantage of this very rare opportunity- as you know, we almost never sell males!
(4/22/22) Wanted to take a moment to celebrate Boxcar's Change The Game on breaking into the top 10 dogs in the Norfolk Terrier breed. This is incredibly exciting. He is my first Top 10 dog. He is such a strong competitor, leveling up almost every single day now. I am so proud of this dog. He also has produce 8 norfolks for us now with more coming soon. He has three litters on the ground at other kennels as well. I love a dog that is a great competitor and producer. His daughter- Boxcar's Beautiful People, is #23 today so that is exciting as well. We are stoked about our Norfolk breeding program and aim to maintain Gamer's quality through our future generations.
(4/23/22) I wanted to take a little more time today to expand on what I started discussing yesterday: Our Norfolk Terrier breeding program. This breed is just going exceptionally well for us. We have two very young girls that are already ranking. Boxcar's Lady of the Rose is #55 and Boxcar's More Pepper Please is #52. Boxcar's Long Awaited, our black saddle stud dog, is currently ranked #35. He is pretty young as well so I am very happy with that. Boxcar's Lucky Lucky, who we purchased to help bring in more of the black saddle genotype, is currently ranked #22. Our homebred girl Boxcar's Beautiful People is now #16!!! Our homebred pride and joy, Boxcar's Change The Game is now #8!!! We are so proud of Gamer. The race for Top 5 is on!
