High Standard Kennels

Welcome to high standard kennels!! I have been a dog lover ever since I was very young. I dont quite remember when but all i know is that ever since I was born and started going to my grandparents house there has always been this big fluffy black and white dog there. Her name was Manny. She was so kind and patient. Sadly when she got very old she developed a huge mass that was affecting her so her owners had to put her down. Manny taught me how kind dogs are and helped me develop my love for dogs. My training journy started with a dog that used to come around my house, he was so timid and lived at the farm around back of my house. I remember how I worked up from him not trusting me enough to even take a treat from the ground from me to taking it slightly out of my hand. I remember his name now it was tuko. He was a unique looking dog, kind of looked like a wolf. He was black and white. One day I just never saw him again. Then I got my own yorkie willow. She came to me with very little obedience and had a high prey drive which caused her to chase after anything and everything. So we worked on bounderies and from going from just knowing sit she now know so many thing like sit, stay, come, down, under, place, go to bed, leave it, wait, speak etc. And she can now go anywhere off leash but were still working on impulse control. I have studied dog training and dogs in general on my own for about 5 years now and am very good at training dogs. I recently got two puppies one is a VERY HIGH energy mini poodle. When I say high energy I mean it. HE WAS CRAZYYY. Thank god with some training he is doing just fine now lol. And the second puppy is a angel standard poodle. She is INSANELY easy going and easy to train, she learned to walk on leash, sit, her name, and a bit of come in one week!! Smartest dog ive ever trained. I loved her to bits but decided because I already had a insane puppy to work with and her great temperment I didnt have enough time to work her to her full potential, so I donated her to a family in need of a service dog. I think its safe to say I am not done my journee with dog training and hope to have plenty of training opertonities in the future.
