Sequoia Farms

Hello there! I'm Primeval Mage, an animal lover and aspiring scholar of various things. More specifically, I'm an aspiring botanist; my disabilities make attending school difficult, but I'm trying to find a way around the litany of issues, however long it takes. In real life I'm a disabled woman who wants little more than a garden, a place to rest, a few dogs and cats, and a crafting room. My primary crafts are writing and weaving, though I also have a keen interest in spinning. Gardening—horticulture, aboriculture, and floriculture, to be specific—has been an interest of mine since I was very young, and I fell madly in love with the idea of studying the natural sciences as a kid. My favorite subjects within the broad label of "natural sciences" are, of course, botany (and mycology) and chemistry; you might say I'm a frustrated scientist and artist. Weaving is both soothing and fun for me, and it remains one of my favorite things to plan and work on.

I'm a gamer at heart and mostly play fantasy RPGs and the occasional sci-fi RPG. I have a laundry list of favorites, but my favorite classes in any game will always be spellcasters or spellcaster analogues and archers. Bonus points for letting me be scholarly in the game! Triple points for the option to play as a magic archer as an adjacent to my mages.

I fell in love with herding breeds very young. Probably the most influential dog in my life, the pup that started my love of them was a German shepherd with whom I grew up. She was brilliant and loving, and it was through her that I started really looking into other herding breeds. I fell down a rabbit hole on the herding group and wound up settling on having a collie or a sheltie and a groenendael or tervuren one day; this is still my dream. Dogs and cats have had a major positive impact on my mental health (and my cats are deeply important to me, which is another reason I favor herding breeds), and I can't imagine a life without my pets. One of these days I'd like to start doing limited competition work with a dog I bought from a good breeder. It would be good for both of us! I love the intelligence in most herding breeds, and the bond they share with their owners.

Sequoia Farms, my kennel, focuses on breeding rough collies, Shetland sheepdogs, Belgian sheepdogs, and Belgian tervuren. I aim for 24HH, lala, and double intelligence boosts. As a consequence, I also focus on breeding for ability in herding, tracking, agility, and schutzhund.
