ABOUT SHERWOOD KENNELS

Hello and Welcome to Sherwood Kennels. Here at SwKº we are currently breeding Saarloos Wolfdogs, Australian Shepherds, Australian Koolies, and German Shepherds. Currently we have no dogs for sale. We are looking for a few breeding partners to affiliate with to create great lines. We have a few dogs of other breeds that we have rescued. We love them just as much as our other dogs but have no plans of starting breeding programs with them anytime soon.

SAARLOOS WOLFDOGS

Only recently as Sherwood Kennels fallen in love with the Saarloos Wolfdog and started up a breeding program with them. Currently we have four dogs and a single litter with hopes of expanding our family very soon. With this dog we are starting near the bottom and are hoping to breed genetic perfection very soon. We will be going outside our own lines to breed our females with outside males and we may even breed our solitary male with an outside female or two if we can find a suitable match for him. For the time being we are working on leveling and stat building and plan on breeding each female at age 99 and possible at age 85 as well.

AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERDS

The majority of out Aussies come from breeding stock from FP Beta. We have acquired three from other breeders and are currently outsourcing for studs to get SwKº's line going. Once we have established a generation of genetically good pups, we will very rarely look to outside kennels to breed to until we decide to breed for purposes other then genetic perfection. We are aligned with BroadView Kennels (#297970) and we will eventually start a breeding program between our two kennels.

AUSTRALIAN KOOLIES

Our Australian Koolie breeding program started when we rescued a Koolie from the Humane Society. We fell in love with her, named her Lady Sven, and the rest is history. Currently we are working on getting the number of HH's to their max. Once there, we may begin breeding for other traits, such as color. We eventually want to have a few Koolies that are MM instead of your more widely seen Mm.

GERMAN SHEPHERDS

Currently six of our ten German Shepherds were acquired from other breeders on the site. Two come from breeding of FP Beta stock while the other two are the first dogs bred from our starters. Currently our goal for our German Shepherds is to get a line of genetically perfect pups. From there we will continue to work on breeding genetically perfect pups as well as showing, leveling and boosting stats.

While we are still striving for genetic perfection, a side color project has begun as well. We acquired a solid blue male and are looking to start a line of solid blue and solid black German Shepherd. If you would like to join us, we are open to breeding partner for this venture.

This breeding project is currently on hold. All of our German Shepherds have been moved to a partnering kennel. We are unsure at the moment if we will continue to breed German Shepherds.
