Voodoo Bayou
Revamp of about underway! Sorry for continued delay, but you know, it
has been 2020. Things just keep happening IRL!
Until then...
Important Updates/Notes:08/06/21:Currently operating on skeleton care of kennel. Unexpected rush at work, have very little time...and having trouble with tab caretaking. {I'll get that resolved though, thanks to some help!} I'll be getting to the Irish/piebald GSD litters as soon as possible so that they'll be available for purchase. Other upcoming and current sales include sp and sw Boxers, black and pointed West Siberian Laika, saddle+agility project Border Collies, possible Karelian Bear Dogs and Siberian Huskies. Most dogs in stm, all from active generation show lines with good xmp. Keep an eye on the Sales kennel and litters!
Current breeding projects: piebald Standard Poodle project continues and is active right now, first competition litters of the piebald and Irish lines of GSD are being bred and will be available for purchase once I make picks. Look for them in the Sales kennel soon!
*Please note, my GSD lines *are* separate. The original lines remain solid in color, no sp or si genes, only SS allowable within those main lines. Those GSDs are simply labled as "GSD" and gender in my kennel. The GSDs showing white are designated in their own, smaller, kennel as "Panda" GSD. The white-showing line is currently strong in STM stat, with some STR dogs. It is my intention to eventually have two lines of STM and STR, possibly adding INT in later. For now, STM is their primary focus.

Stud Policies
• females are never available
• High MP males for stud at level 30
• Low MP/Gene males at level 5+
• Prices based on quality, level, rarity
• Prices increase with level at my discretion. High level, high aged studs will be more, as will be 100+ day old studs as breedings decrease. At level 30, Mains are typically 200k and increase to 500k at L-50, 900k L-70, 2mil L90, and 5mil is often the minimum stud fee for mains over 101 days, with 10mil FPD not being unheard of for 95-100+ level studs over 101 days with few remaining breedings. I accept FPP, but I...
• do not lower prices. As a member of the Rare Dog Society, you may sometimes get a chance to win a free breeding with a stud, though!
• Upon all requests the dog is unlocked, vaccinated, etc before I accept. Do not message me over this! Request the dog, he will be good to go when I accept.
• Seriously, please do not message me within literally one minute asking me to unlock the dog. If you need a breeding that day for your 100+ day old female, plan ahead. I'm happy to answer questions not covered here and to plan to unlock on a certain day for you with a message in advance, and it's fine to message me if the vaccination has obviously expired after I approved or it has been a full day without approval. I'm not happy to get instant demands, though.
101+ Day Studs
• 100+ Day Stud availability fluctuates with my needs, their age and breedings remaining. If you need to assure a breeding in the future, you should message to plan with me.
• 100+ Day Stud breeding must be completed in 12 hours or the next FP day/rollover time, whichever comes first.
• ^I will not waste a dog's days, request when needed and breed right away
• ^^I will not keep unlocking the dog for your convenience. Sorry to be harsh, but I've had too many people waste my dogs' days like this.
•NEW RULE Due to this continuing, I will now be putting directions in their descriptions too, but for these studs, message me to unlock them. I can't keep messaging people and losing days on 101+ day dogs, I'm sorry. It's now your responsibility to message me. Seriously, I ask nothing but payment. I don't care if you want to breed your uncared for, FPGF rated, level 1 dog to my level 103 24HH 4xstm lala impeccably cared for stud, it'll get approved if you want to pay that 10mil FPD {or FPP}. This is very little to ask for everyone to use my dogs, so don't make a big deal of it. Thanks in advance, folks <3>
Sales Policies
•If a litter is not marked for sale, not marked Achievement, "open" or "1 - Open," it is not for sale. I appreciate that you think you're helping me by wanting to bid or that you want a puppy from me, but if it isn't for sale, it isn't for sale. See below for why.
• Most high MP litters are not sold from; I pick them and sell them once out of the litter. You can find them in the very first kennel tab :)
• When high MP litters are sold from it is ONLY after the aptitude test has been completed and my picks have been made.
• Waiting list is notified for picks first, then preference is given to home quality, and lastly to progenitor "points". Achievements are great, but not my main concern if it isn't an achievement litter.
• I accept FPP instead of FPD if desired! The process is: If it is a litter buy, just message me about paying in FPP as you would with an adult dog, and I will arrange to accept a $0 bid in the litter and have you send your FPP over. Adult dogs will be transferred for $0 to your account upon receiving FPP from you in a message. But please, message first! I don't want someone else to buy your dog before I can take it off of public buy.
•High-quality art may also be accepted instead of FPP.
• Due to being offered very low-quality dogs I don't need or want, I do not accept dogs for dogs anymore. The only exception to this may be a breed/specific stat/pattern of that breed that I have listed that I am in need of. You can find that at the top of the page currently, in bold, as "Seeking."
• If there is a breed you want, or are looking for a specific stat set, genes, gender, aptitude and so on in a breed, please message me to be on the wait list! :) You will then be notified as soon as I have a litter or dog of that breed for sale, and will have your choice of SPOL. When I do two litters on dogs, POL may be available, provided you are alright with waiting until second litter is aptitude tested for me to pick there.
• Pricing is based on multiplier, overall quality of genetics and aptitude in sport, rarity of coloration/pattern, as well as availability/current market rate of similar dogs as possible.
• Achievement litters and dogs are either free for new bidders or start at 3-5k. This is only different when it is technically an achievement litter because it's an A-Litter {test breeding/first litter before 101-110 day litter} and the dogs have good MP and quality.
• Dogs picked for sale have been picked for quality just as if they were being kept, and are sold fully equipped and (in the case of 6 day old puppies) untrained so that you may pick your desired sport!
Young Adult - Adult Sales
•Young dogs (right out of litter) are sold equipped but not trained unless it is a dog I had intended to keep and decided against; it has been trained in the best sport for its stats and aptitude.
•Adult dogs are leveled, trained, and equipped appropriately. These are typically dogs that were gene dogs I no longer need or ended up not needing.
•Gene/Project dog prices, and achievement dog prices, are based on overall quality and general market value. They can range from 2k to 400k and up depending on level achieved and the above factors.
•101+ day dogs that I did not end up using: in the case of females, these dogs have usually not been bred. These dogs are priced very highly, rarely below 3mil FPD, that is the general minimum. Pricing is based on level, breed, and overall quality and demand. Very rarely, I will have a female that I did breed in a B-Litter for sale. She has been bred one time, and her final litter with you will not suffer in quality.
•If a dog is on private sale or 101+ days of age, I would really love for you to keep the dog's name. I realize you do not have to do anything, but this is really my only stipulation. These are usually dogs that I have used as a stud who have a few breedings left that I have made the difficult choice to sell so that they may benefit another player. They are thus actively in my pedigree and it makes my life a lot easier if you keep the name! Furthermore, I admit that it is obnoxious to look back in my pedigree and see that my dogs are now technically related to a grandsire named "Spud" or "Panties" or "Cupcake" or something really ridiculous {all have happened!}. Again, I know you don't have to, but please be nice.
•As with puppies, FPP is acceptable instead of FPD, I love it, please do it. Dog trades are not usually accepted in the case of high MP, leveled competition dogs, or 100+ day dogs, but equal quality dogs that I may need are possible. The same is true of art, I have accepted high-quality art for these dogs in the past, but I mean high-quality art. This includes bases, refs and revamps, and tags as well as characters. For example, a dog worth 10mil FPD could be converted into the equivalent FPP and that applied to the quality of art pricing.
•While I always need FPD and FPP as I am very poor IRL and cannot buy FPP with real money, I work hard on these dogs, have worked hard on them since 2006 and I will not just accept anything you offer. I reserve the right to refuse a purchase of a private sale or litter buy for the following, but not limited to, reasons: you did not bid enough/I received a better offer, another bidder had a better quality home, the dog was up for sale privately to a waitlist buyer specifically, you have previously broken my rules or proven to be someone I do not want to sell to based on bad behavior in the past. I do not owe you an explanation of this choice, if you ask me, I may tell you...I expect not to be harassed about it. I may not answer...I expect not to be harassed about it.
•The same applies to dog and art trades. I am not trying to be mean, I know you work hard on your art and dogs. However, I cannot just accept things I do not want or haven't a use for at this point just to be nice. That's...how I end up wrecking my kennel finances and with a ton of dogs that just sit locked somewhere. Please know it is not personal! I will never, ever, insult your dogs, art, or kennels when/if I refuse. I promise. That's rude and unnecessary.
•Furthermore, it shouldn't even have to be said, but it probably does: I will not refuse you a dog based on any information supplied by you on your about page, on the forums, etc. Not limited to but including: your gender, sexuality, political affiliations, religion, or personal opinions expressed. In fact, I try really hard to not even know these things about you and I usually stay off of the forums with the exception of art and dog sales. None of these things will have any bearing on my sales choices. Only quality of home, payment, availability, and whether you've previously made my life terrible in this game with breaking rules like flipping my dogs, being incredibly rude and argumentative on the forums and elsewhere, and such.
Other Dog/Sales/Buying Related
•Buybacks: though I will not do so for an exorbitant price, I am interested in buying back my dogs that you have "rescued," yes. I'll pay up 200k for my main breeds and 50k for non-mains. Especially if they have ended up in the HS, as it really irks me when I see that in my dog's pedigrees several years in the past while looking something up.
•Rescues: I don't otherwise do rescues. I support your right to play the game as you wish and enjoy, but my desire to keep my lines, records, and main breeds clean and appreciated due to my hard work is not the same thing as feeling like these dogs are suffering neglect or something. Please don't try to guilt me into taking a bunch of dogs from you on that basis, it isn't going to happen. Don't send me random dogs to rescue. And unless I have agreed to do so because I really need the dog that badly {meaning I have seen it and sent you the form myself}, don't send me a giant questionnaire and things I have to agree to like keeping the dog in my kennel until the game retires it. If I say I will do something, then I will, but that's ridiculous. I'm not continuing to spend money and time on a dog that I probably just want to show until a good level, breed for its genetic contribution to the line, and retire. If you can't accept that the dog will be cared for, appreciated, and contribute to something instead of sitting around on an account uselessly, then I guess you shouldn't give me the dog because that's what is going to happen.
Please Don't/Rules
I don't want to do this, but these things have been an issue in the past, so...
•flip my dogs. This is so rude. It's one thing to resell a dog when you're not using it, it is a whole other thing to buy a gene dog from me at 5k and sell it for 100k immediately. I can't stop you, but I will note it and will increase my prices (which hurts everyone, they are so cheap because I want to make them available to newer players who may not be able to afford to pay as much to get the breeding material I am no longer using) and will never approve you for anything I do have control over.
•Again, I can't stop you, but one of the reasons why my extremely high-quality dogs are priced so high is due to people milling them at lower prices. If you really want to buy one of my almost 1.7 MP dogs and breed it every 12 days until it is too old for profit on colors and such...you're going to be paying several million to do so. I used to under-price dogs to be helpful to newer kennels, but after seeing several dogs go to homes where they were kept filthy and untrained just to breed like this, I had to stop.
•Request a stud and then expect me to keep him unlocked indefinitely for your use. 101+ Day Studs are to be bred within 12 hours, but this applies to younger dogs as well. There's probably a reason I had them locked. I'm providing a service I don't
have to provide by making studs open on all of my breeds, please be respectful and help me to keep doing this! I prefer you to breed within one day of request approval but will sometimes tolerate two days.
Any more than that, arrange with me ahead of time via message! Example: you wish to breed your dog to my stud in 5 days when your dog is at the right age, you should message me and I'll make sure to have the dog available for you.
•Message me with unimportant things. It's great that you are friendly, I am sorry that you are bored. However, I am very busy, with limited internet, and chronically ill as well as antisocial. So...
Do Message:
•questions about the game/breeding/etc
•stud questions/availability
•waitlist info
• made a mistake and your dog isn't unlocked for stud or the vaccinations expired between my approval and your breeding, so you need to let me know
•you want to pay in FPP, art, or other trade
•you are interested in a manip/edit/graphics, recolors, etc.
Do Not Message:
•"hi"
•"hi im bored"
•your instagram, facebook, tumblr etc. if we're not literally friends, I accept most friend requests but this doesn't mean we're BFFs guys, come on. Given the age difference I often have with people here, it's also a potentially uncomfortable feeling to have someone 20 years younger than me dropping their insta out of nowhere like that.
•asking me about breeding to my females (extremely rarely I may be open to a breeding that benefits me too, but that is so, so, so rare) or if I will sell a dog that is not for sale. I won't, no, it's not for sale for a reason.
•you want FPD, FPP, dogs, items, edits, etc for free. I'm also playing the game, I cannot just give away things to everyone. I'm sure it seems like I must have a lot of extra everything lying around, but 1) I promise I don't! 2) even if I did, that does not entitle you to my hard work here.
Other
I swear I'm not mean! I just have very little time, and all of these things have been issues in the past that have eaten up my time or made it so unpleasant and stressful to be here that I literally left for years. I'd like to not do this again!
Things people call me I am okay with: Shady, Fox, Shadow, and Shades. Kind of gender-ambiguous a lot of the time and don't care much about my own pronouns, but you can throw female ones at me. As mentioned above, I'm chronically ill with several conditions, and that often makes me very exhausted and not super social. I don't really think a laundry list of issues is necessary here, but I also have compounding issues that make socializing a bit odd sometimes; I'll either not shut up or you might wonder if I died because it's been a year. It's absolutely not personal and I do try not to do it, but as a head's up.
I'm also an adult, thirty-six years old, who works whenever physically able to, so seriously, not personal, just tired and busy! I have a small pet care business that focuses on positive experience grooming and pet sitting, as well as writing pet articles and some other things. I do also have other hobbies, so I may be busy with those! I write
a lot, am usually reading about three books, end up in all manner of writing research rabbit holes, and spend a lot of time with my animals. Who would be a 12-year-old Pomeranian, a 23-year-old Thoroughbred retired racehorse, a bunch of fish, 4 cats, and a six-year-old and twelve to fourteen-year-old Leopard Gecko pair.
Again, please don't hesitate to message me with any legitimate questions you might have about my kennel, policies, the game, or myself. I'll get back to you even if it takes me a while!
