STATUS
The Furry Paws Pound is currently: OPEN

(Although I will still accept foster dogs being returned and dogs are still available for adoption. I am just not taking in any extra dogs until I have a bit more time to log on again)

ABOUT
Hello and welcome to the Furry Paws Pound. This pound was started in early 2018 to help reduce the number of unwanted dogs on FP. I buy cheap dogs for public sale as well as accepting owner surrenders. Then I retire any dogs that do not meet the adoption criteria. The dogs that do meet the adoption criteria will be placed up for adoption. Dogs that are up for adoption generally have 1 - 2 months to find a home before being retired. Dogs that are currently up for adoption will be found in kennels labeled as "Adoption Kennel" and will have a month in the name like (Oct). That month is the month that all dogs in that kennel will be retired if not adopted, generally on the first of the month.

ADOPTION CRITERIA
The criteria for dogs to be considered "adoptable" in his pound are as follows:
- No Poor health genes
- Less than 2 Fair health genes
- If dog has 1 Fair health gene, dog must also have 1+ Excellent health gene.
- Dog must not have more than 4hh genes.
- Females must not be bred more than 3 times.
- Less than 90 days old (unless dog is at least 3E or level 30+, in which case the dog will be considered adoptable as long as they are still able to be used for breeding)
- Any dogs from the 5 most populated breeds on FP must be at least 3E.

ADOPTION
Once dogs have been deemed to fit my adoption criteria, they will be placed into Adoption Kennels. They will then be placed for public sale at the price of $5,000 each. Anyone who would like to adopt is more than welcome to adopt one of these dogs at this time.

SURRENDER
Surrendering your unwanted dogs to this pound is super easy. Just send me a transfer request for each of your unwanted dogs and I will accept them the next time I am online. The max fee I will pay to buy dogs is $1,500 FPD. I offer this as an alternative to putting your unwanted dogs in the Humane Society & as a service for those who want the dog(s) out of their kennel right away.

RETIREMENT
This pound also offers our services as a retirement center. If you would like to have dogs retired, but don't want them to be retired on your account, send me a message and I can take them specifically to retire. I am willing to retire your unwanted dogs of any age/health status that you would like to have retired with no questions asked. I do ask for a small fee of $50 FPD per dog to be paid before I retire any of your dogs. I will require these dogs to be transferred to me for $0 FPD each. You can pay the $50 FPD per dog fee before or after sending the dogs over, but it must be paid before I retire the dog(s). For every day that I hold the dog(s) before I receive the retirement fee, there will be a $10 FPD boarding fee per dog. If the dogs are left on my account for a week without sending me the retirement fee, I reserve the right to adopt the dogs out if the previous owner refuses to pay the retirement & boarding fees.

BUY BACK POLICIES
Sometimes when I buy dogs, I get a message from the previous owners that they didn't want their dogs to end up in a pound. I am happy to sell the dog(s) back to anyone who would like their dogs back. My default will be to transfer the dog(s) back to the owner for $1,500 FPD simply because that is generally the price I pay to buy dogs. If your dog was up for sale at a different price please let me know. If you are polite with me, I am willing to work with you.

BULK ITEM ORDERS
As well as being a pound, this account is also a merchant account. So I am happy to fill bulk item orders. I accept FPD & FPP in payment. My price list for many of the common items can be found in my shop. Send me a message with a list of items you would like to buy.
