About Branimir Kennel

I’ve recently come back to Furry Paws after a long leave of absence. My goal before was to get EEEE Chart Polski that excelled at Racing. Just before I went on leave I had finally succeeded in bringing my stock from EEE to EEEE and locked my dogs. Now when I came back I noticed there was a lot of change. Namely in the breeding department. So obviously my breeding rules need to change as well. So below you will find my updated information. Keep in mind that some of my females may not fit this criteria when you look at them. I am currently working my way through my locked dogs that I was a little more lax with before the breeding updates in Furry Paws. Things will be much stricter now.

Breeding

Females: Females will get bred at 98 and 110 days old. They will not be bred more than twice.

Males: Males will be offered for stud services once they reach 55 days old. People interested in my stud service need dogs that are at least level 20 (although this will be changing soon to a higher level). Your female must be EEEE. I may make an exception if you have a dog lower than that as long as it doesn’t have fairs or poors if it looks like you’re trying to improve your lines.

Dogs for Sale

I don’t breed for color. I breed for performance so what colors are produced is not relevant to me. Yes I enjoy unique colors, but if they can’t race I don’t keep them.

Litters: I usually don’t have litters available. When I breed it’s because I’m planning on keeping a pup for myself. Only on rare occasions will I have a litter available to the public.

Started and Adults: By the time a dog reaches level 10 I can usually tell if they have what it takes to remain in my kennel. On some occasions I may keep a dog until it reaches level 15 before deciding whether it will stay or go. If they don’t make the cut they then will be available for sale. They will be EEEE and good for someone starting off building their own Chart Polski lines. Started and Adult dogs for sale won’t be locked. They’ll continue to be trained and shown and improved upon. Males and Females for sale also won’t be bred. (Again at the moment there may be a couple on my for sale page that have been bred, but they were dogs I had before the new rules had been implemented on Furry Paws)

Retirement

Dogs will be retired at 111 days old. If a particular dog has gone above and beyond they will be allowed to remain in the kennel until 120 days old when they will be automatically retired.

A Little About Me Outside of Furry Paws

I grew up around coon dogs and hog dogs. My dad raised Treeing Walkers and Blueticks. Although the Blueticks were always his favorite. My mom raised the Black Mouth Curs to run on the hogs. When I was 14 I got my first hog dog. A Plott hound from one of my dad's buddies. Plott's are my all time favorite when it comes to hounds. He was a fawn brindle male weighing in at 75 lbs. His name was Lucian and his parents were used on hogs. I had to have Lucion put down last year at the age of 11. I'd retired him from hunting when he started slowing down, but he still remained a faithful companion and accompanied me on runs and bike rides for years after. When his arthritis started bothering him we'd go on slow walks together. He is very much missed. He was my first ever dog and first ever Plott and he has left a paw print on my heart.

His half brother Magnus weighs 70 lbs and is a red brindle. He's currently 4 years old. Whereas Lucian was serious and wise beyond his years Magnus is a clown and very puppyish. He's grown up a little, but he's still air headed around the house. During a hunt he's all seriousness which is good, but at home he's the complete oposite of his half brother.

A couple months ago I did get another puppy. This one is a black brindle male. I got him at 12 weeks old. He's now five months. His sire was a full brother to Lucian whom was my favorite dog by far and the sire was one of the breeders best dogs. I got to pick from four of the seven pups. I named him Raiden and he reminds me so much of Lucian. He acts wise beyond his years even at such a young age and acts as if everything is beneath him. Again the opposite of Magnus. I think he's going to be an awesome dog. He's always taking stock of his surroundings.

I usually am in jeans and a comfortable T-shirt. Most of my jeans have holes in them that I use when working on various projects. I'm a tom girl and don't give a dang what I look like and a grease monkey too. I love working on vehicles, wood working, leather working, coon and hog hunting, and some other things I'm good at is dry-walling, barn raising... pretty much I can do whatever you throw at me. If I don't know how to do it I'll learn myself and figure it out. Why pay for people to do things that you can do yourself anyway :) I love physical work and enjoy it too. It gives me a satisfied feeling to know that my work was done with Quality!

So... that's a little about me XD
